FSW Tools
FSW has a variety of different tool heads that can perform unique types of welds.

Conventional FSW
Designed for application in a wide variety of markets. Can weld alloys including aluminium alloys, copper alloys, magnesium alloys, and many more.

Bobbin FSW
Simultaneously welds the top and bottom surfaces. Does not need additional supports for reverse side when welding.

Retraction FSW
Shaped bit is designed to eliminate the distinctive keyhole of a stir weld by gradually removing the bit from the material.

Stationary Shoulder FSW
The bits (left) rotate while the shoulder (right) remains motionless, reducing the amount of excess heat generated by friction. This results in less thermal distortion of the pieces.

Friction Stir Spot-Welding
The motion of the bit eliminates the keyhole as the weld progresses. Higher weld strength and lower corrosion risk when compared to rivets.

Liquid Cooled FSW
Designed to withstand the heat required to weld alloys with a high melting point, like Steel, Copper, Titanium, and their alloyed variants.
